Yesterday, we had the honor of attending the swearing-in ceremony for our three newest advocates. This class was small and purposeful, allowing us to introduce the state's newly rolled-out training program with care and intention. It was a tremendous success! A heartfelt thank you to our board members, Pam Moody and Brad Marshall, for coming out to show their continued support.

Last night, our Executive Director, Kristen Dobbyn, and Program Director, Megan Ozuna, had the honor of attending the Beat the Odds Celebration and Awards Banquet alongside one of our dedicated advocates, Jim Beasley.

Each year, with the generous financial support of the Prince William County Bar Foundation and community partners, $40,000 in scholarships and awards are presented to deserving youth who have overcome tremendous adversity. CASA CIS is proud to sponsor one of the scholarships awarded during this inspiring event, in honor of our former Executive Director, Linda Krieg.

These remarkable young people have faced challenges including abuse, neglect, substance abuse, mental health struggles, truancy, and involvement with the juvenile justice system, yet they continue to persevere and succeed.

Award recipients are nominated by guidance counselors, probation officers, case workers, and other caring professionals who recognize their resilience, determination, and growth. The annual banquet provides an inspiring opportunity for the community to celebrate and support these outstanding youth and their accomplishments.

The evening was especially meaningful as the young man Jim has advocated for over the past four years received an award. Witnessing the impact of long-term advocacy and support was a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

We were grateful to join community leaders and partners at Amazon’s Rise & Recognize: A Community Impact Gathering last week! It was an inspiring event focused on collaboration, service, and the collective efforts shaping stronger communities across Loudoun and Prince William counties.

It was incredible to connect with organizations dedicated to meaningful change and to celebrate the recipients of the 2026 Amazon Community Funds. Events like these are a powerful reminder of what can happen when nonprofits, businesses, and local partners come together with a shared purpose.

A sincere thank you to Amazon.com and the Prince William County Community Foundation for hosting such a thoughtful and impactful gathering. We’re proud to be part of a community committed to creating positive, lasting change.

We are incredibly grateful to share that more than $100,000 was raised for CASA CIS through BION’s Charity Golf Classic!

What made this event so special wasn’t just the competition or the prizes, but the incredible community behind it. From generous sponsors to the players who showed up and gave it their all, every contribution helped move this effort forward.

While we love celebrating the winners and their well-earned prizes, the true winners are the children we serve every day. These funds will directly support the children served by CASA. Thank you to BION and everyone who helped make this year’s Charity Golf Classic such a meaningful success!

Our annual Advocate Appreciation Picnic was definitely a chilly one this year, but that didn’t stop us from coming together and celebrating the people who make our work possible!

We are so thankful for the dedicated advocates who give their time, energy, and compassion to support children in our community. Their commitment is truly what keeps our organization going. We couldn't do this work without them!

We had an amazing time at this year’s SperryFest - Sperryville's Annual Spring Festival, celebrating community, connection, and the incredible organizations that make a difference every day. Child Advocacy Supervisors Alyssa, Fatima, and Tori were out sharing our mission, connecting with families, and spreading awareness about the work we do. We’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community!

We’re proud to be a recipient of the Children & Youth Development Fund, an investment that strengthens our ability to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. With this support, we can continue to stand beside children in court, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests are represented during some of the most critical moments in their lives. This funding helps us reach more children and provide the consistent advocacy they need for safety, stability, and a brighter future.

We’re grateful for this investment in protecting and supporting vulnerable children across Northern Virginia. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4vh7u4v
