It’s Business Appreciation Month in Prince William County! I had the pleasure of recognizing two outstanding businesses here in Brentsville this past week: Mighty Meals, a company that delivers premade, chef-prepared nutritious meals right to your doorstep, and B&S Site Development, which manages some of Northern Virginia’s largest construction sites!

My team and I got to tour their headquarters and learn more about what makes these two businesses so special. Both companies are spurring economic growth and giving back to the community. We could not be happier to have them call Brentsville home!

It was an honor to be invited to this year’s Vaisakhi Mela and celebrate such a vibrant and meaningful tradition. I’m grateful for the opportunity to speak and to recognize the rich cultural heritage and contributions of our Sikh community.

Thank you to the organizers, Devinder Singh, and everyone who made this event so special; your warmth, generosity, and commitment to unity truly embody the spirit of our community! I hope to be back next year!

In the early hours of December 17th, I proposed a resolution on your behalf directing the County to send a letter to Dominion Energy and the State Corporation Commission conveying our concerns with all proposed powerlines and requesting that they bury the proposed transmission lines from Nokesville to Bristow.

Innovation and Jobs for Prince William County

Last night, the Board of County Supervisors approved a $4 million land sale to St. John Properties in the Innovation District near Manassas. This 13-acre sale will bring around 100,000 square feet of new flex and tech buildings, representing a total investment of over $20 million.

What does this mean for our community? An estimated 200-300 new jobs in growing industries like life sciences, defense technology, and semiconductors.

Innovation Park has been driving economic growth and technological advancement since 1997, and its location near George Mason University's SciTech Campus makes it a prime spot for companies looking to expand and invest.

This is exactly the kind of smart, strategic development that strengthens our local economy and creates opportunities for Prince William County residents.

Wishing a happy Hanukkah to everyone in our community who is celebrating.

Hanukkah is a reminder that even a small light can push back darkness. It is a story about perseverance, faith, and the quiet power of tradition carried forward, generation to generation.

As the candles are lit over these eight nights, may they bring warmth, reflection, and peace to your homes, and may the light they symbolize remind us all of the strength found in hope and community.

Too fast on Hamill Run Drive.

After a resident’s request, my office asked for a traffic study. It confirmed heavy, fast traffic on Hamill Run. This week, the Board approved a speed hump to slow cars and improve pedestrian safety.

This aligns with PWC’s mobility plan for practical fixes. Thanks to the county staff for responding quickly to residents’ concerns.

This week, the PWC Board of County Supervisors took another step toward easing traffic congestion.

The Sudley Manor Drive Interchange project will separate the road levels at Prince William Parkway and Sudley Manor Drive, allowing traffic on the Parkway to keep moving without stops. It will also realign Wellington Road to eliminate the traffic lights at its intersection with the Parkway.

This project will eliminate a significant choke point in Brentsville.
