Today, the ADC was honored to participate in the Mission BBQ 9/11 Remembrance.

More than two decades later, the ADC came together with members of our community to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

The Adult Detention Center recently conducted an agency-wide donation drive, “Hydrate Inspire,” designed to support local elementary school students and promote the importance of healthy hydration. For every water bottle purchased by a staff member, an additional bottle was donated to a local elementary school. Due to the overwhelming generosity and support of our staff, 140 Sports Insulated water bottles were distributed between Bennett ES PWCS and Jennie Dean Elementary School.

By providing students with their own reusable water bottles, the Detention Center is helping remove a simple barrier to staying hydrated while also encouraging a healthy habit that can benefit students both inside and outside the classroom. Hydrate Inspire demonstrates our agency's commitment to giving back to the community and investing in the health, success, and well-being of local children.

In partnership with Wegmans Potomac, we were proud to give back to the students at George M. Hampton Middle School in Woodbridge! We donated $200 worth of school supplies to help ensure students have a successful school year.

We are grateful for partnerships that allow us to invest in our youth and support our local community. Thank you, Wegmans, for helping us make a difference!
