Take a walk through Manassas’ history!

Join us on Thursday, September 24 at 5:30 p.m. for a Downtown Walking Tour: Open for Business. Enjoy a stroll through historic Downtown Manassas while learning about the businesses, shops, and restaurants that operated here during the first half of the 20th century.

The tour begins at the Manassas Museum and lasts approximately one hour.

Admission is $15 per adult and $5 per child. Register at cityofmanassas.recdesk.com.

A few special events to look forward to include Coffee with the Curator on Tuesday, September 15 at 8 a.m., featuring a conversation about the Museum’s newest exhibit, Open for Business. Then, enjoy the final two Summer Sounds concerts of the season: Fresh Music Friday on Friday, September 18 at 7 p.m. and Sunday Funday Concert on Sunday, September 20 at 3 p.m.

It’s a busy Saturday in Manassas!

If you’re looking for something to do today, start your morning at the Historic Manassas Farmers Market at the Prince William Commuter Lot from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. Stop by the Old Town Manassas Art Show and Fall Craft Fair at the Manassas Museum from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. or the First Baptist Church Summer Community Festival at the Harris Pavilion from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Then wrap up the day with the free Saturday Night Concert featuring the Dulcetones at Harris Pavilion at 7 p.m. OmniRide is operating extended service to provide a FREE ride to and from the show.

For many, it began like any other Tuesday—driving through Manassas, shopping downtown, dropping children off at school or arriving at work. Then, in an instant, lives were forever changed. We invite our community to reflect on that day and share: What changed for you?

Grab your pup and get ready for a pool pawty full of splashing, swimming, and tail-wagging fun! 🐶💦 Join us for Dog-A-Pool-Ooza at Stonewall Park Pool on Friday, September 11, from 4–6 p.m.

Admission is $5 per dog, and the Stormwater Division will be there handing out FREE dog waste bags to dog owners.

Remember, dogs must be social, friendly, and up to date on vaccinations. No dogs in heat.
