Our newest temporary exhibit, Open for Business, is now on view at the Manassas Museum.

Step back into early 20th century Manassas and explore the businesses, restaurants, and shops that helped shape the city. Highlights include a recreation of Buck’s Barber Shop, honoring the legacy of Buck Buchanan, whose establishment served generations of residents and was an important gathering place within the community, along with several artifacts on display for the first time. Then extend the experience with an interactive guide and take a walking tour of historic downtown Manassas to discover which buildings from the past are still Open for Business today.

Nuestra nueva exhibición temporal, Open for Business, ya está en exhibición en el Museo de Manassas.

Viaja a principios del siglo XX y explora los negocios, restaurantes y tiendas que ayudaron a dar forma a la ciudad. A little rain won’t stop . Karen Jonas hits the Harris Pavilion stage at 7 PM tonight. Don’t miss this award‑winning songwriter with a powerhouse band.

Acoustic Tuesday on June 23 brings Americana/Alt-Country songwriter Karen Jonas to the stage at 7PM.

With “vocals that twist and snap with tension and emotional depth” and a dynamic band, it’s no wonder Karen is turning heads all around the world (Country Music People, U.K.). Flanked by her longtime guitarist the inimitable Tim Bray, bassist/vocalist Seth Morrissey, and drummer Seth Brown, the band dazzles with energy that showcases their eight-year touring chemistry and the true joy of their art. Karen has released five full-length records and is a two-time Wammie (Washington Area Music) Award winner for Best Country and Americana Artist, Mid Atlantic Song Contest winner, Ameripolitan Award nominee, and official SXSW and UK Americanafest Showcasing Artist. As Parklife Mag DC put it, “the voice of country music in the DMV is a big, bright voice that belongs to Virginia native Karen Jonas.”
