September already! ✏️📚

Thank you Miss Kim for leading our toddlers in a beach themed yoga flow - these beginner yogis did a fantastic job! 🧘🏽‍♀️

We had a wonderful visit from Miss Betty Butterfly Rushton, who taught us all about monarch butterflies! Betty showed us real-life examples of their lifecycle stages, and our kiddos even got to act out the process of becoming butterflies 🦋. Since monarchs only eat milkweed, we spread some of their seeds in our meditation garden!

Miss Betty was so kind to leave some more caterpillars and chrysalises at the library! Stop by throughout the next few weeks - you might catch a butterfly emerging!

Thank you to all of our Summer Reading Challenge Participants! In total, our children participants read 1,700 books altogether! 📚

Our Read to Me group enjoyed a munchkin party where they received their official certificates and goodie bags! 🍩

Vacation Reading Club participants received their official certificates, goodie bags, a book to keep forever, and ice cream to celebrate! Thank you to the Peaches & Cream ice cream truck for supplying us with yummy treats 🍦

If you couldn’t make it to our celebrations, no worries! Swing by the library to pick up your certificates and goodie bags throughout the remainder of the summer 😊

Our toddlers took a trip under the sea with some stories and songs all about crabs! Check out their crab creations and stop by the children’s room to grab one as a Take-and-Make! 🦀

We also made some ROARing T-Rex puppets this afternoon - what big teeth they have!! 🦖

Our first butterfly to emerge! 🦋

She was released outside the library this afternoon in search of some yummy nectar 💐

Stay tuned for when our other butterflies emerge from their chrysalises - we’re expecting a couple more this week!

Morning music and movement with Miss Cristine was filled with summery fun! 🎶🏖️

The toddlers listened to stories and songs all about bumblebees and made their own! Grab one in the children’s room as a Take-and-Make 🐝

Huge thank you to Science Heroes for treating our afternoon group to such wonderful experiments! We had a blast learning all about wind, gravity, energy, and pressure!🔬
