Firefighters were ambushed earlier today in a heinous act of violence in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Two of our brothers were killed in action while responding to a fire when they were attacked by a sniper who remains at large. A third brother is in surgery.

Please pray for him, our fallen and their families, and for the law enforcement officers who are on the hunt for the suspect.

PINAL RURAL FIRE MARSHAL COMPLETES
NATIONAL FIRE ACADEMY TRAINING
Pinal Rural Fire and Medical District Fire Marshal, John Jerome,
completed the National Fire Academy Command and Control of Incident Operations program on October 25, 2024 in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This six-day program helps fire captains and chief officers from around the nation develop new skills to command and control emergency incidents and implement the National Incident Command System, NIMS. This advanced training places students in simulated incidents of increasing complexity that will push them out of their comfort zone and build a strong command presence. About one to two percent of the nation’s firefighters
get to participate in this high-level training each year.
“By completing this training, Fire Marshal Jerome has demonstrated a commitment to reducing the loss of life and property from the dangers of fire and other emergencies for the residents and guests of our Fire District. By pursuing professional development through completion of the National Fire Academy Course, John is supporting the mission and values of our agency.
