Our current flood alert is still in place until 10:30am.

Staff have been out since early this morning monitoring the situation. At this time most water is receding. We are still monitoring areas around Beaver Swamp Creek and the Sheldrake River, which may flood further.

Roads are closed in multiple municipalities including the Rye's and Port Chester. Flooding is happening in multiple communities on both the Hudson River and the Long Island Sound. Unfortunately, we are not alone in the flooding risk. This storm is affecting the entire county.

Thank you to our DPW staff, who have been up and out for hours. Our Volunteer FD is available for any emergencies, and our police officers from the overnight have been held over for additional support this morning. Thank you to all staff who have been up for hours this Sunday morning doing their best to keep our residents safe.

On this 25th anniversary of September 11th, we remember and honor all those who were lost, the families who continue to carry their memory, and the members of our local community who died or lost loved ones.

We also recognize the first responders, recovery workers, survivors, and all those who have since become ill or died from 9/11-related illnesses. Their sacrifice and their stories will never be forgotten. We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

❗22nd Annual Family Camp Out Rescheduled❗

With rain and thunderstorms expected overnight Saturday, September 12, into Sunday morning, September 13, the Village of Mamaroneck’s 22nd Annual Family Camp Out has been rescheduled to its rain date: Saturday, September 19, into Sunday, September 20, 2026.

This decision was made for the safety of all participants, based on weather reports and guidance from meteorologists supporting the Village.
