Over our 25 years in existence, we have grown from a community initiative and referral organization to one that provides comprehensive direct client services and programs. In the past year, we served nearly 4,000 adults, youth, and children in three primary areas: Case management / social services; Educational programs and workshops; and Worker Center -job placement for men and women seeking employment.

Today we celebrate .

On June 16, 2011, the International Labor Organization (ILO) adopted Convention 189, a landmark agreement recognizing domestic workers' rights to fair wages, safe working conditions, and labor protections.

Domestic workers care for our children, support older adults, and help households thrive. Yet too many continue to face low wages, exploitation, and exclusion from basic labor rights.

Today, we honor their contributions and recommit to the fight for dignity, respect, and justice for all domestic workers.

Congratulations to our leaders and domestic workers on completing the Regenerative Leadership Course!

Throughout this transformative experience, participants explored regenerative organizing practices, strengthened their leadership skills, and learned new ways to support community members in their job search while building stronger networks of care and mutual support.

We are especially proud to celebrate this achievement at Cornell University, recognizing the dedication, resilience, and leadership of these incredible women.

Domestic workers play a vital role in caring for children, older adults, and families, and their contributions help strengthen our entire community. We celebrate their growth, leadership, and commitment to creating positive change.

Nuevos cambios en la revisión de solicitudes de Ajuste de Estatus (Green Card) podrían aumentar el riesgo de negación, incluso para personas que cumplen con los requisitos legales.

USCIS is applying greater scrutiny and placing more weight on factors such as:
• Past overstays
• Unauthorized employment
• Gaps in immigration status

Some applicants may be required to complete their process abroad through consular processing, which can lead to family separation and employment challenges.

Many individuals who have already submitted their DACA renewal applications are still waiting for approval and to receive their new Employment Authorization Document (EAD). These delays can impact families, lead to job loss, and create difficulties when renewing driver’s licenses and other important documents.

On behalf of the CRC, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our GED graduates!

Today, we celebrate not only your academic achievement but also your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to building a brighter future.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Southern Westchester BOCES for their partnership. Their support and collaboration have helped create meaningful educational opportunities, empowering individuals to reach their goals and unlock new possibilities for success.

We are also excited that, thanks to the Junior League's support, we can continue offering programs like this to our community. Their commitment to education and community empowerment helps make opportunities like these possible and allows us to continue supporting community members on their path to success.

CRC appreciates the Hispanic Federation for including us in its delegation during its advocacy week in Washington, D.C. last week. About 150 organizations got together to discuss critical and interconnected issues that severely impact the lives of Latinxs and Hispanics in our country. Over two days, the Hispanic Federation delegation met with US Senators and Congressmembers and shared materials explaining how rapid immigration policy changes, funding cuts to healthcare and food, and the rollback of support for digital equity and AI guardrails are impacting our communities' well-being and survival. Together, we completed 100 legislative visits and drop-ins.

We deeply thank the Hispanic Federation for organizing the opportunity to lift our communities' voices and bring back valuable information to continue raising awareness and push for collective solutions. Latinxs and Hispanics have positively contributed not only to the economy but also to society as a whole, making the US a stronger and more vibrant country.

Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of celebrating Mother's Day with an extraordinary group of women from our community.

We gathered with valiant, resilient, hardworking, and inspiring mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, friends, caregivers, and community leaders whose strength and determination enrich our community every day.

The morning was dedicated to honoring their contributions, sharing work experiences, fostering meaningful conversations, and promoting fair wages and dignity for domestic workers.

We laughed, shared stories, built new friendships, and recognized the countless ways these women care for their families, support one another, and help our community thrive.

To all the women who nurture, lead, advocate, sacrifice, and love so deeply, thank you. Your resilience inspires us, your voices matter, and your contributions make our community stronger every day.

We are grateful to celebrate you, not only on Mother's Day, but all year long.

We wrapped up another wonderful season of our program with Friends of Rye Nature Center at CRC!

Throughout the program, the kids learned about nature, plants, and wildlife while enjoying hands-on encounters with amazing animals, including rabbits, chinchillas, snakes, turtles, and pigeons.
