If you have tree limbs or branches down at your property and are unable to get them to the brush pile, leave them in the right-of-way and the Street Department will remove them over the next week. Severe Weather-Tornado Warning
Malvern remains under a tornado watch until 6 a.m. on Thursday June 11th. The storm shelter, located in the basement of the Liberty Memorial Building, at 100 W 5th Street will be open for anyone needing to seek shelter until the storm passes.

Malvern Pool Update:
Recent heavy rain events followed by elevated temperatures are preventing the chemical levels in the swimming pool from equalizing properly. The City is required to maintain 48 hours of chemical levels within specified parameters before taking bacteriological samples for lab analysis. Due to these fluctuation, the pool will be unable to open as planned, on Friday, June 12. The current expectation is that the pool could be open as early as Monday, June 15th or as late as Thursday, June 18th. Once chemicals reach and maintain the appropriate levels for 48 hours, an additional update will be provided. We apologize for the delay as we work to get the pool open for the community. Additional information will follow regarding partial refunds for those who have purchased early bird pool passes.

Update: 6:25 am

Power has been restored. Regular water usage may resume.

Malvern is currently without power and sewage lift stations are offline. Avoid water usage until power can be restored to prevent wastewater backups.

Malvern Pool Update:
The Malvern Pool is expected to open for the season on Friday, June 12th barring further delays. The delay in opening this year has been caused by a drain valve that failed to seat properly which prevented the pool from being filled. Once addressed, an issue at the water treatment plant limited the City's water production to one of its two wells. Out of an abundance of caution and to prevent disruptions in the drinking water supply, Malvern has been filling the pool slowly over the past week. The addition of chemicals to the pool will begin within the next day or two and testing will begin to ensure proper water chemistry and water safety before the pool opens. Early bird pool passes will be available through Thursday, June 11th at a discounted rate.
