Last night, we had the opportunity to hear from Lance Brisbois, from Golden Hills RC&D about the Watershed.

We learned about the East and West Nishnabotna Watershed, how to best combat erosion and nitrogen/phosphorous contaminants, and about the RCPP (Regional Conservation Partnership Program) that aims to improve water quality, increase flood resilience and protect infrastructure.

We then headed to Fisher Wildlife Area/River Access to test for nitrates and water clearness.

This was another successful night of the Master Conservationist Program!

Mills County 4-H Enrollment is happening now!

MILLS COUNTY 4-H ENROLLMENT is happening now! 🍀🍀🍀

The annual 4-H registration fee is $45.
🌟 RETURNING MEMBERS: If you re-enroll between now and Nov. 1st, your enrollment fee will only be $25!
🌟 NEW MEMBERS: Your fee will be $25, regardless of when you enroll!

This Financial Assistance before the November 1st deadline is thanks to the Mills County 4-H Endowment Committee and Extension Council.
There is also other Financial Assistance available through the Iowa 4-H Foundation!

Family caregivers often help coordinate appointments, manage medications, provide transportation, and support individuals throughout treatment, recovery, and survivorship. Caregivers can participate in Powerful Tools for Caregivers, an evidence-based program that provides practical skills for managing stress, improving communication, and maintaining personal well-being.
