Learning about community helpers is even more exciting when you get a visit from some of the best!

Mrs. McClard’s class is learning all about the important people who help keep our community safe. A big thank-you to the Magnet Cove Fire Department for stopping by with their fire truck and giving our students a fun, hands-on learning experience!

Our Elementary Book Fair is happening now in the Library!

Students can stop by and shop a great selection of books, fun reads, and more! There’s something for every young reader.

Please fill out the form below if you want to join the archery team. This sign-up is for past archers and new players. This helps us have contact information for everyone. Sign-ups will close on October 1.

Before-school and after-school practices will begin the week of October 5. Specific dates and times for each team will be announced soon! Please email [email protected] with any comments or questions.

Important Information to consider before signing up: Archery season runs from October until at least March. Tournaments take place mostly on Saturdays from December to February. The state tournament takes place on Friday, March 5 for grades 4 through 8, and Saturday, March 6 for grades 9 through 12. If students or the team qualify, a national tournament takes place in Louisville, Kentucky (KY), in May. A championship tournament takes place in Daytona Beach, Florida (FL), in June. Please understand that being part of the archery team requires a commitment. You must attend weekly practices before or after school. You must also attend tournaments on Saturdays. If you join the team, we expect your full involvement until at least March, and hopefully longer.

Magnet Cove Elementary August Students of the Month 🎉

Throughout the school year, we stress the importance of responsibility, kindness, hard work, good character, and Panther Pride. These students are wonderful examples of these qualities and they serve as a positive role model for others. We can count on them to make good choices and do the right thing - even when no one is watching!

⭐️Student of the Month awards will be presented at the school board meeting on September 21st.

🔥🏈 IT’S BACKYARD BRAWL RIVALRY WEEK!

The countdown is on, and there’s A LOT happening as our Panthers get ready to take on the Indians! 🐾

📍 Game Day: Friday at Poyen
⏰ Kickoff: 7 PM
🇺🇸 9/11 Tribute: Before kickoff

Here’s how you can join in on the rivalry week fun:

•BOOTS& FREEDOM
Dress-Up Day on Friday! The Panther Den school store is ready for a fun week. Show your Panther pride and rock your best Boots & Freedom themed attire.

•PEP RALLY POSTER CONTEST
Bring your creativity and school spirit! The TOP 5 posters will be selected to win prizes at Friday’s pep rally!

•GAME DAY FAN BUS
Students in grades 7–12 (permission form/expectations agreement will be shared on Parent Square) can ride the fan bus to Friday night’s game! Students must meet at the High School Gym by 5 PM so they can participate in the community-wide football team send-off.

📣 FOOTBALL TEAM SEND-OFF
Our football players will depart campus at 5:15 PM! The community is encouraged to come out and send our Panthers off in true Panther fashion!

Community members can set up along the route starting at 5 PM:
• Butterfield Church
• Railroad Tracks
• Fire Station

This community-wide send-off is being coordinated by the MCHS Class of 2027. 🧡

Let’s make this a rivalry week to remember! Pack the stands, show your Panther pride, and let’s send our Panthers to Poyen!

We are proud to announce the 2026-27 Magnet Cove Elementary Student Ambassadors!

As a Student Ambassador, these students may have opportunities throughout the school year to welcome new students, help them become familiar with our school, assist with special activities, and demonstrate what it means to be a Panther.
