Thank you to those who have already contributed candy to this years "Halloween in the park". We could still use a few more bags of candy for anyone who might be interested.

If you would like to also help hand out candy on Halloween, please contact Scott.

We would like to have as many stations/stops as possible inside the park for the children . This will allow us to social distance and yet let the children go from point to point to trick or treat. Each station will have an adult with proper gear to pass out the candy.

Let's make it a fun and safe night for the children!!

Job Opening- City Clerk

The city of Mallard is looking for a part time clerk.

Job responsibilities will include: City payroll, city budgeting, city financing and basic day to day routine office duties.

The position is going to be flexible in regards to hours and days worked.

Pay will be based on experience and previous training. The city is willing to train the appropriate candidate.

As many of you know we lost Becky Larson this past week. We are deeply saddened by this loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lyle Larson and his family and all those who were close with Becky.

Becky was a outstanding community member who did countless things for this community, she will be greatly missed.

Love ya Becky. Rest In Peace.

There will be a Flu clinic on Oct. 15th starting 9:00 am to 10:00. Hy Vee pharmacy is sponsoring this clinic.. They will take Medicare and most insurance. This is a change from earlier. Please pass the word to your friends.

Update on the Postal building we are in high hopes it will open the 1st week in August. We are just waiting for a few more things and it will be a go.

Great News! The City of Mallard has been selected to receive a grant of up to $14000 from the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources and $5000 from the The PA County Gaming Commercial Demolition Grant to deconstruct Ron's Tap. Following the demolition, which will begin the end of July, the property will become a handicap accessible parking lot with a handicap sidewalk/ramp.
