Coast & Canyon Wildlife Rehabilitation Coast & Canyon Wildlife Rehabilitation is a volunteer run organization that helps injured and orphaned animals, primarily baby squirrels.

Coast and Canyon is made up exclusively of on non-paid volunteers and depends on the generosity of individuals. Last year our team of volunteers cared for over 1,100 orphaned, injured, or displaced wild animals in Los Angeles County. We pride ourselves on never turning away an animal in need, and never letting the cost of an animal's care determine its future.

A momma possum was brought to us with a chewed up tail and bone exposed. Ouch! Good thing the homeowner is a possum lover. Then surprise! She has 10 babies no one knew about until she was settled in her cage. So the vet prescribed antibiotics that won’t harm the little ones.

These possum babies are so young that they have a slim chance of surviving. If anyone can save them our volunteer Cassie can. She is slowly drip feeding them. It takes loads of time but is the only way. Listen to their little “sneezing” sound. They are calling for their mom.
