Please join us for our fourth annual “Coffee, Cookies, and Conversation” Welcoming Week event on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 10:00-11:00am.

Meet your neighbors in a casual setting, for a cup of coffee, some cookies, and relaxed conversation. There will be juice for the kids. Everyone is welcome!

Welcoming Week is a global campaign that connects neighbors of all backgrounds in their communities. At the Malden Public Library we celebrate the values that unite us as neighbors.

Wednesday, September 23 from 6-7pm, please join us for an evening of learning, culture, and meaningful conversation as a part of our Welcoming Week series, “Stories We Share: The Courage To Connect.” Learn more about the journey of one family from Afghanistan to Malden, Massachusetts.

Please join us for some traditional foods and refreshments from Afghanistan.

The 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group is back! This group, led by professional job coach Deborah Hope, is for people 50 and older looking for a new job/career direction. Each meeting is on a different topic, and you do not have to attend every session! Meetings are held via Zoom on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:30am-12:30pm; today's meeting theme on Sept. 2 is "Self Assessment and Mindset". (If you feel uncertain about Zoom, reach out to the library and we'll be happy to assist.)

This free financial literacy program for young adults and adults is provided by the Hanscom Federal Credit Union.
