📢 Important Update from the Taunton Avenue Collaborative 📢
We are grateful for the support announced at the RIHousing Board of Commissioners meeting on May 16, 2024. The funding will allow us to move forward with 95 of the 144 units at the Center City Apartments project, providing much-needed affordable housing for our community.
This development includes 52 apartments designated for individuals experiencing or at high risk of homelessness. While we are thankful for the progress, work still needs to be done. We continue to seek additional funding to complete the remaining units.
Thank you to RIHousing, the Rhode Island Department of Housing, Senator Jack Reed and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, LISC Rhode Island, the Champlin Foundation, the Rhode Island Foundation, and Housing Ministries of New England for their crucial support.
We remain committed to addressing Rhode Island's urgent housing crisis and will persist in our efforts to secure the necessary resources to complete this vital project.
