KAHEA FOR CROWN FLOWER + GRADUATION KĀKOʻO
We are collecting any and all crown flower for Friday to make lei for our Holomua Workforce Development Cohort Graduation. If you have crown flower to share, we would be so grateful if it could be cleaned, prepared, and ready to string. Every little bit helps.
We are also still accepting monetary donations to help cover the remaining food and miscellaneous graduation expenses.
If I’m being modest, we still need about $600.
If I’m being real about what it takes to pull everything together, $1,000 would help us breathe a little easier.
We are strictly grassroots. There was no graduation ceremony budget built into our funding. Lesson learned. But that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try and make sure our cohorts are celebrated for everything they accomplished and pushed through.
Mahalo to every single person who has already poured into this graduation, whether you donated money, lei meakanu, food, supplies, your time, your hands, or simply answered one of my many kahea. You are helping us make this moment special for our people.
Every day between now and graduation is BUSY until it’s done. But we going make it happen.
This cohort deserves to be celebrated.
CROWN FLOWER: Cleaned + prepared for Friday
MONETARY KĀKOʻO: Still accepting donations
GOAL: $600 minimum | $1,000 would cover us better
Mahalo nui for continuing to believe in grassroots, believe in our work, and most importantly, believe in our people.
