Drive safely on rural roads, especially in the spring and summer months when farm vehicles are common on these roadways.

Slow down and avoid distractions.

If you must pass a slow-moving vehicle, pass safely in a passing zone, and only when the road is clearly visible and free of oncoming traffic.

Never drive impaired and always buckle up for a safe drive!

Our Victim/Witness Coordinator, Alicia and Montour/Main Townships Chief Phil Savidge had a blast doing sand art with all the kids at the Summer Learning Festival yesterday! Thank you to our local Libraries for hosting and offering so many enriching opportunities to our youth all year round!

Stolen Vehicle Investigation:
Incident #26-00000214
Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The Main Township Police Department is investigating a stolen dirt bike from the 800 Block of Mainville Drive. The dirt bike was last seen the evening of 5/22/2026 and was observed missing around 7:00am 5/23/2026. The dirt bike is a red Honda CR500.

If anyone has any information or camera footage in the area please contact the department by messaging the page or contacting the communications center at 570-784-6300.

Update.. now closed from Mainville Dr. to Old Reading Rd.

Traffic advisory!!
Sycamore Dr. from Mainville Dr. to Deer Rd. is currently closed due to flooding and mud slides across the roadway in multiple locations. Penndot has been notified.

Bicyclists are most often injured or killed by drivers striking them with the front of their vehicle at high speeds. If you see a cyclist, slow down!
