Today marked the final day of the Hamilton Township Police Department’s 2026 Junior Police Academy!

Throughout the week, our cadets had the opportunity to learn about many aspects of law enforcement through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and interactive scenarios. From defensive tactics and bike patrol to K9 demonstrations, specialized equipment, and visits with our fire department partners, our cadets embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and curiosity.

We are incredibly proud of each and every cadet for their positive attitudes, teamwork, and willingness to learn throughout the week. We hope this experience provided a greater understanding of the role law enforcement plays in our community and inspired our future leaders.

Thank you to all of the officers, firefighters, and staff who dedicated their time to making this year’s academy a success. Most importantly, thank you to our cadets and their families for making the 2026 Junior Police Academy an unforgettable week.

Today, we are proud to recognize Officer Carson Perry for receiving the Sgt. Brian Dulle Memorial Award as part of the Butler Tech Basic Police Academy (BPA) Commencement. The Sgt. Brian Dulle Memorial Award is a recognition that represents far more than academic achievement or physical ability. This award honors the character, leadership, compassion, and commitment to service that define the law enforcement profession.
Sgt. Brian Dulle, Unit 822 with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, was tragically killed in the line of duty on May 10, 2011. Brian’s dedication to serving others and his love for law enforcement continue to inspire future generations of officers.
The Dulle family created this memorial award to recognize cadets who demonstrate the qualities Brian embodied — those who support their classmates, step up when others need help, and lead through service. As Denise Dulle shared, the award is about recognizing “that one who will reach out and help classmates, help others, and be a servant.”
Officer Perry’s selection reflects the values we strive for at the Hamilton Township Police Department: integrity, humility, teamwork, and a commitment to serving our community.
We congratulate Officer Perry on this outstanding accomplishment and thank the Dulle family for continuing to honor Sgt. Dulle’s legacy by supporting the next generation of law enforcement officers.

After successfully completing the police academy and meeting all state certification requirements, Officers Casey and Perry have taken the oath to serve and protect the residents of Hamilton Township.

We are excited to welcome them to our department and look forward to watching them grow in their careers as they begin serving our community.

At the June 3, 2026 Township Trustee Meeting, the Board of Trustees approved a resolution authorizing the operation of golf carts on certain Hamilton Township roadways.

Golf carts may now be operated on township roads with a posted speed limit of 25 MPH or less, provided both the operator and vehicle meet all applicable legal and safety requirements.

Before operating a golf cart on township roadways, residents should ensure:

✅ The operator possesses a valid driver’s license

✅ The golf cart is properly registered and insured

✅ The golf cart has successfully passed a required safety inspection

✅ The vehicle is equipped with required lighting, including functioning taillights and brake lights

✅ The operator follows all Ohio traffic laws and local regulations

As this new resolution takes effect, our officers will focus on educating residents. We will also be working with local HOAs and community partners to help ensure residents understand the requirements for safe and legal golf cart operation.

📅 Golf cart inspections are available by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

☀️ With the summer heat making its presence known, Officer Rosenberger and Officer Casey found the perfect place to cool off!

Not only did they enjoy a refreshing cup of lemonade, but they also had the chance to meet some of Hamilton Township’s youngest entrepreneurs!
