A traffic stop was conducted on 1488. While the front passenger was retrieving her ID, a baggie of m**h was observed in her purse. Due to a subsequent vehicle search, another baggie of m**h was located in the backseat. Both the female and male in the backseat were arrested for PCS.

Thanks to Donnie’s Daycare for inviting us to come do Child ID cards for several of their kids.
This allows parents to provide all of the pertinent information that law enforcement needs to issue an Amber Alert. This saves valuable time if a child is missing or abducted.

Melton Road Closure.
Melton St, from Smith to 1488, will be closed until June 26.
The original notification was that this would open tomorrow but TXDOT will keep it closed, due to railroad work that must be completed.
This should not affect FM 1488 or Smith St traffic.

1488 lane closure.
From June 1st through June 5th, the eastbound lane of 1488, going over the railroad tracks at 1774, will be closed from 9 am to 3 pm. This is a part of the 1488 construction project. There will be TXDOT hired officers to direct traffic in this intersection.

We welcome aboard our newest member of the agency.
K9 “Ice” (as in m**h) is a 17 month old Belgian Malinois that is trained in narcotics detection. He’s officially out on the streets and working towards making our community safer.
If you see him out and about, maybe you’ll get a chance for a pic with him…
