Thank You, Quan Moore!

The Magnolia Housing Authority would like to extend a special thank you to Quan Moore of Entergy Arkansas for joining us during our recent Maintenance Stand-Alone Conference.

Mrs. Moore shared valuable information about how the electrical system works, important safety practices, and the many programs and resources available to assist customers, including Single Stop and other community support services.

We appreciate her willingness to take time out of her schedule to educate and engage with our staff and conference attendees. Her presentation provided useful knowledge that participants can apply both professionally and personally.

Thank You, Mr. Harrington!

The Magnolia Housing Authority would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our Board President, Monty Harrington, for his continued dedication, leadership, and support.

During our recent Maintenance Stand-Alone Conference, Mr. Harrington generously took the time to prepare meals for attendees, helping make the event a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Magnolia Housing Authority Hosts Successful Maintenance Conference

The Magnolia Housing Authority was proud to host a successful two-day Maintenance Stand-Alone Conference, bringing together maintenance professionals from housing authorities across the region for hands-on training and skill development.

Participants received practical, hands-on instruction in drywall repair, GFCI replacement, plumbing, heating and air systems, and more using actual apartment units as training spaces.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. A special thank you to our maintenance team for sharing their knowledge and expertise throughout the conference.

We would also like to recognize our Board President, Monty Harrington from Farmers Bank & Trust for generously preparing meals for attendees, and Quan Moore with Entergy Arkansas for providing valuable information on electrical safety, how the power system works, and customer assistance programs such as Single Stop.

Finally, thank you to our office staff for their hard work behind the scenes. Their planning and dedication helped make this conference a memorable and successful event.

Entergy will be in Magnolia on Thursday, July 9, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church Activity Center.

💡 Customers who qualify may be able to get help paying their Entergy bill.

Entergy representatives will be on-site to answer questions and help connect people with available assistance programs.

The Magnolia Housing Authority proudly congratulates our Occupancy Specialist, Mrs. Caldwell, on successfully completing Leadership Magnolia-Columbia County!

Over the past 10 months, Mrs. Caldwell has dedicated her time to learning more about our community, building leadership skills, collaborating with fellow leaders, and participating in projects that make a positive impact throughout Columbia County. Through this experience, she has gained valuable insight into the organizations, industries, and people who help our community thrive.

📚🦖 A Roaring Good Time at the Columbia County Library! 🦖📚

Our Magnolia Housing Authority kids had an amazing time attending the "Unearth a Story" Summer Reading Kickoff Event at the Columbia County Library!

The day was filled with fun, learning, and hands-on experiences that made reading and discovery come alive. The children enjoyed exploring all the exciting activities while learning about the library's summer reading program.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting members of the Magnolia Fire Department! The kids had the opportunity to tour the fire trucks, learn about firefighting equipment, and hear firsthand how firefighters help keep our community safe. 🚒

The excitement continued when an ambulance crew visited the event. The children were able to climb inside the ambulance, learn about emergency medical services, and even take turns lying on the stretcher! 🚑

We are grateful to the Columbia County Library and all of the community partners who helped make this event both educational and fun. Experiences like these encourage learning, curiosity, and community engagement while creating lasting memories for our youth.

🎣☀️ What a great day of fun, fellowship, and fresh air! Magnolia Housing Authority residents recently enjoyed a wonderful fishing outing with our team. A special thank you to our Maintenance Supervisor and Resident Initiative Coordinator for helping make the day memorable and creating an experience filled with smiles and laughter.

To make things even more exciting, residents participated in a friendly fishing challenge with prizes awarded for the first fish caught and the most fish caught! 🏆🐟

Moments like these remind us that building community is about more than housing, it’s about creating connections, encouraging engagement, and making lasting memories together.
