Hydrant flushing began today (Monday 5/18) and will continue through the week. This critical maintenance keeps our fire hydrants ready for emergencies. Some discoloration of water is possible; flush any faucets until water runs clear. Please contact the Water Department with any specific questions at 330.265.8747.

The Magnolia Police Department would like to warn residents of scamming attempts within the Village.

Scammers are cold calling residents and claiming to be in jail, having a warrant for their arrest, or needing bail money, unpaid fines associated with your motor vehicles etc.

The stories are quite convincing however, no law enforcement agency operates this way.

The best way to combat this is to immediately be suspect of any cold call soliciting money no matter what the story and err on the side of caution.

The elderly population is especially at risk to these scams so education and awareness is key.

If you suspect anyone of attempting to scam you out of money, please refer them to the Police Department at 330-866-9434. We would be glad to speak with them. Thank you! -Chief Schlimm

Many snowplow drivers are working hard out there, and we want to show some ❤️ to Shawn, who has been working steady to clear our Magnolia streets!
Snowplowing will continue through Sunday as the snow keeps falling, but roads are by no means clear yet. Stay safe and please travel only if absolutely necessary.
