Happy Birthday to Magnolia's Police Chief

Let’s be honest... you failed out of fire school, you’re terrified of heights, and we all know you’re allergic to actual hard work. But hey, the world needs police chiefs too, so we're glad you found your lane.

We know our brothers and sisters over at the Magnolia Police Department work tirelessly to keep our community safe, so we wanted to ensure they had the absolute best day possible. When critical situations call for immediate breakfast intervention, traditional delivery methods just won't cut it.

Behold: the MFD Donut Drone. Equipped with precision GPS, advanced hovering stabilization, and a single, perfectly glazed target.

We've deployed our high-flying asset to drop a sweet payload right into the MPD parking lot. Don't worry, officers—help from above has arrived. No need to look up, just check your windshields!

Happy National Donut Day to our favorite partners in public safety. Thanks for all you do!

Summer is here and so is the water. Before you hit the pool or the lake this weekend, here are a few things worth knowing.

"He's a strong swimmer" is said before more drowning incidents than most people realize. Drowning is fast and quiet. It does not look like it does in movies.

A few things that actually matter:

- Kids in the water need a dedicated adult watcher. Not someone who's also on their phone. Eyes on the water, full time.
- Drain entrapment is real in pools. Keep young kids away from drains.
- On open water, life jackets are not optional. A cramp or a current does not care how well you swim.

If someone goes under and is not responding, call 911 immediately. Do not wait.

Have a great summer out there. We'll be here if you need us. 🚒

Texas BBQ in the summer is practically a birthright, but did you know July (Followed by June) is actually the peak month for grilling fires?

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) just released some eye-opening stats, and it turns out a lot of us are taking risks without realizing it. Before you fire up the pit this weekend, let’s make sure we’re doing it right:

✅ Give it space: Keep your grill at least 10 feet away from the house, garage, and deck railings.
✅ Scrub it down: Clean off that grease and fat buildup—it’s the #1 cause of flare-ups.
✅ Stay on guard: Never leave a lit grill unattended (even if the game is on!).
✅ Propane safety: Always store tanks upright and outside, never in the garage.

Let’s keep the smoke on the brisket and away from the roof! Stay safe, y'all!

Comprehensive preparation today means a safer community tomorrow. We train in calm conditions so we can execute flawlessly during the storm.
Stay safe, Magnolia! We've got your back. 💪⛈️

🛑 WATER SAFETY WARNING: 22 Texas Children Have Already Drowned in 2026 🛑

Summer is officially here, pools are open, and the risk to our children is incredibly real.

⚠️ Drowning is Fast and Silent
Drowning remains a leading cause of accidental death for toddlers and kids under five. It doesn't look like the splashing or shouting you see in the movies. It happens in seconds, and it happens silently.

💡 How You Can Protect Your Kids:
Assign a "Water Watcher": Designate an adult whose only job is to keep their eyes on the water. No phones, no chatting, no distractions. Rotate every 15–20 minutes.

Secure the Pool: Ensure all home and apartment pools have a 4-sided fence with self-latching gates.

Life Jackets Save Lives: Put young children or weak swimmers in Coast Guard-approved life jackets—not inflatable floaties.

We can prevent these heart-breaking tragedies if we all commit to “Watch Kids around Water.” Please don't let your guard down for even a second.

Members of the Magnolia Fire Department recently spent time touring a new apartment complex coming to our area.

As our community continues to grow, taking a proactive approach to emergency preparedness is more important than ever. Getting eyes on these structures during the construction and development phases allows our crews to:

📍 Master the Layout: Identify the best entry points and plan exactly how and where to position our apparatus for the fastest, most effective response.
🔒 Evaluate Safety Features: Locate and understand the built-in fire suppression systems, alarms, and utility shut-offs.
📋 Plan for the Future: Begin drafting tactical pre-plans so that if an emergency ever occurs, our teams can act with precision and speed.

We are committed to staying ahead of the curve to keep our residents and businesses safe.
