We had an incredible evening celebrating the students, supporters, and accomplishments of the Sandy Valley FFA chapter at our 2026 FFA Banquet!

Throughout the evening, members were recognized for their hard work and achievements in leadership development, Career Development Events, Agriscience Fair, floriculture, livestock judging, soil judging, industry credentials, community service, and Supervised Agricultural Experience programs.

A very special thank you to Austin Manning and members of the Ohio FFA State Officer Team for attending our banquet, encouraging our members, and taking the time to create genuine connections with our students. Your leadership, kindness, and willingness to invest in young people made a lasting impact on our chapter and community.

We also celebrated a historic year for our chapter, including our first State and American Degree recognitions, state-level competition success, participation at National FFA Convention, and the continued growth of our SSCA Agriculture Business & Technology program.

A very meaningful part of the evening was welcoming our incoming Career Tech students and recognizing the many individuals, families, staff members, boosters, administrators, and community partners who continue to support agricultural education and create opportunities for our students.

We are incredibly proud of our members for stepping outside of their comfort zones, trying new things, and representing Sandy Valley with professionalism, leadership, and pride.

The Officer team for the upcomig school year was announced at the banquet. Congratulations to the 2026–2027 Officer Team of the Sandy Valley FFA!

We are excited to see these students continue building upon the leadership, growth, and success of our chapter in the coming year. We know they will lead with dedication, service, and pride as they continue creating opportunities for our members and community.

Charlei Stenger — Vice President
Becca Gamber — Treasurer
Katie Miller — Secretary
London Frase — Reporter
Beth Gamber — Student Advisor
Sanaai Green — Sentinel

Congratulations to each of these students on their election and willingness to serve the Sandy Valley FFA Chapter. We are excited for the year ahead!

Day 2 FFA State Convention Recap - with side quests 😊

We started by checking Emma and Sanaai in with the State FFA Choir, and Leah and Noah with the State FFA Band. From there, we headed into the 4th General Session where we celebrated an incredible accomplishment, learning that Parker and Noah placed 3rd in the state in the Plant Systems category, Division 4 of the Agriscience Fair! ( side quest - see the additional post about this amazing accomplishment)

After the session, I snagged 22 seats in the first three rows for the 5th session, worth it for such a special moment ahead. We enjoyed the talent showcase and then had the honor of watching the band and choir present the National Anthem.

The State Degree ceremony felt truly magical.
Congratulations to Emma Coy, Chloe Frase, Beth Gamber and Leah Grigsby ( side quest- see the additional post about this amazing accomplishment)

Following Session 5A, we wrapped up the evening with the band and chorus concert. I will always appreciate National FFA Organization for its commitment to uplifting the arts alongside agriculture.

This has been, without a doubt, the best convention I’ve experienced as both an advisor and a mom. I’m deeply grateful for the incredible support from our community and for the opportunities it provides for our students.

on earning their State FFA Degree!!!

The State FFA Degree is one of the highest honors a member can achieve at the state level. It reflects years of dedication through Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), detailed record keeping, leadership development, and active participation in FFA and agricultural education.

This accomplishment represents a significant milestone not only for these members, but for our program as a whole.

These are the first State FFA Degrees in Sandy Valley history!!!!!!!

Their achievement reflects the commitment, work ethic, and perseverance that continues to build and strengthen the Sandy Valley FFA Chapter. These young women have set a strong foundation and created a legacy for future members to follow.

We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and look forward to what they will continue to achieve!

Sandy Valley FFA – State Convention Day 1 Update

Our Sandy Valley FFA members had a great first day at the Ohio FFA State Convention!

Students arrived safely and began exploring the exhibit hall, where Noah and Parker set up their Agriscience Fair project. We are proud to share they have already been selected in the Top 4 in their division, with final placements announced tomorrow.

Members participated in hands-on activities, including welding, and connected with universities, agricultural organizations, and industry leaders. They also enjoyed time in the exhibit hall and activities hosted by the U.S. Army.

After attending an inspiring first general session, students continued exploring before traveling to the Waterman Multispecies Animal Learning Complex at The Ohio State University for an in-depth tour of this state-of-the-art livestock facility.

The day wrapped up with dinner, some downtime, and pool time at the hotel.

We’re looking forward to tomorrow as:

* Final Agriscience Fair results are announced
* Students perform in the State FFA Band and Choir
* Four members receive their State FFA Degree

We are proud of our students—stay tuned for more updates!
