Affinity Care Adult Day Care: home-like setting, RN directed, safe, nurturing environment for individuals who need supervision, recreation with peers, or help with ADLs

Taking Care of a loved one? Tired? Frustrated? Overwhelmed? Need an affordable care option? Don't know what to do?LET US Help! Affinity Care is an adult day care center in Magnolia Springs, Alabama. Our pleasant, home-like setting welcomes caregivers and their loved ones. The RN directed program provides a safe, nurturing environment for individuals who need supervision, recreation with peers, or

help with the activities of daily living. The love of Christ is shared as participants and staff enjoy conversations, meals, and activities together. Participants are respected and cherished. Families affected by dementia report that adult day care and provided resources have changed their lives. Our business started as an act of love for Louise Greenwald- a concert pianist, teacher, and friend to many during her one hundred years of life. Dementia ravaged her independence and her life's savings. Providing for Louise’s care ignited our passion: to value and encourage each person we encounter, while assisting families during life transitions. Endeavoring to preserve her dignity inspired our vision: to support family caregivers by providing resources, care tips, and an affordable respite option, where participants are empowered to maximize their capabilities and rediscover a sense of purpose. Will adult day care make a difference in your life? If you know or care for someone affected by dementia or Alzheimer's, the answer is
YES! Interaction with others has been shown to slow cognitive decline and give participants:

• Reduced anxiety
• Increased enjoyment of activities
• Inspired new sense of purpose
• Improved communication, orientation, and short term memory. These lead to fewer problem behaviors, less caregiver stress, and reduced healthcare costs. For more information about our adult day care program, visit our website or call us at 251-202-3971.

Yesterday, we all pitched in to give our front yard a makeover. It was a mess digging in the dirt but everything turned out beautiful. We planted fall flowers in our planters and transplanted some of our pots of spring flowers. Come by and take a look.

Friday, we learned a little Swahili and sent messages of love to Happnes, our sponsored child in Tanzania, Africa.
