VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: JOY MENSER 💙

"I believe everyone deserves to be heard, especially children facing challenging circumstances."

Meet Joy! Joy has been a dedicated CASA volunteer since July 2024, showing up to make a real difference in the lives of local children.

When asked about her "Why CASA," Joy shared that she volunteers to help ensure children’s voices are represented and their best interests are protected during difficult times. Having an advocate like Joy in their corner means vulnerable children have someone dedicated to listening to them and standing up for their future.

Thank you, Joy, for your heart, your advocacy, and your commitment to giving children a voice! 🌟

🌟 Board Member Spotlight: Wendy Mitchell 🌟

What drives someone to advocate for children in foster care? For CASA Board Member Wendy Mitchell, it comes from personal experience on both sides of the classroom desk and the foster care system.

Here is Wendy’s :

"Having stood on both sides of the classroom desk and the foster care system, I’ve seen firsthand how easily a vulnerable child's voice can get lost. Serving on the CASA board lets me use those real-world insights to make a difference, working toward a goal of every child in care having a dedicated advocate standing up for their best interests."

We are so grateful for Wendy’s leadership, passion, and commitment to making sure no child’s voice goes unheard.
