Our Plant ID team competed today at the Trinity-Neches SWCD & TVCC Plant ID Contest and came home with a 1st Place Team finish!

We are especially proud of our individual accomplishments:

Tyler Evans - High Point Individual and recipient of a $1,000 scholarship!
Ciara Seibert -2nd Place Individual
June Till - 3rd Place Individual

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN for our Annual Conservation Poster Contest. We have enjoyed Several Texas Area 4 Winners in the past and some that have moved on to State Competition. Our THEME this year is: "From Source to the Sea; Every Drop Has A Journey"
We have 2 Judging Groups this year: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade / 3rd Grade through 6th Grade. Home School / 4-H are Welcome to participate. Only 1 Entry per Student
SEE OUR 2027 Awards Information Letters as well as a Rules/Check List to insure you have all the information for the students to meet the requirements for us to send the Posters forward in competition.

It's a great way to avoid IDENTITY THEFT! See details in The Madisonville Meteor on the shred event happening September 17th from Noon - 6 p.m. at the Madison County Courthouse!

Are you needing to get a soil test completed for fall gardening? Stop by the Extension office to pick up a soil sample bag, and a form (or complete the form online), and bring the soil sample back to the Extension office. Haley will be taking samples to College Station in September to save shipping!
