In April, the District Attorney's Office attended the annual Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month Ceremony led by Scotty's House. This ceremony is held to raise awareness and prevention of child abuse. We were joined by the Madison County Sheriff's Office, Madisonville Police Department, and various advocates and community members who serve in prevention and advocacy.

Victim Assistance Coordinator, Heather Reeves, said a beautiful prayer in support of victims. District Attorney Courtney Cain and Chief Investigator Blake Baldobino read lists that represented Madison County child victims. Blue pinwheels were planted in support of Child abuse awareness and prevention.

Another child predator off the streets of Madison County! This case involved textbook grooming and manipulation of children. The trauma these victims went though was horrific. I am so proud of the strength the victims showed in testifying in this case. Thank you to Madisonville Police Department for your hard work on the investigation. He deserves every day he was sentenced to and deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison and never to return to Madison County.
