I need to speak specifically about a large budget item we discussed in detail. Over the next several years the Town of Madison will be spending a very large sum of money on the new Axon ecosystem.

I wanted to see this system at work to know that we are spending your money wisely.

I had the privilege of doing a ride-a-long with a municipal police force that uses Axon and has for years.

It was AMAZING! To see it work in live action blew my mind. Our Madison Police Department, NC will be equipped with the most advance technology and integrated AI functions. Based on the presentation by our Chief of Police and what I saw during my ride-a-long, I agree that this expense is essential for the future of Madison.

We had a jam-packed meeting with discussion around our Audit, new Budget, and updates on our construction projects.

I will have my review ready on Sunday for you!

Well, let the Town of Madison set the record straight.

Our Town Manager and Chief of Police had a meeting to discuss the SRO allotment proposed by rockinghamcountyschools.

You can call Town Hall and speak with Amy or drop me your email and I will send you the details presented by our Town Manager.

If the decreased SRO presence is alarming for you, please reach out to the Rockingham County Board of Education and tell them what you want to see as a priority in next year's budget.

The next Board of Education meeting is June 8th at 6:00pm.
