BIPOC BIRDING CLUB OF WISCONSIN

The BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin creates safe spaces for people of color in the outdoors through outdoor birding activities and outdoor experiences. Individuals and families of all ages and at any level of birding experience are invited and encouraged to join us.

About the Club: The BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin was established in 2021 as a community of people of color who love the outdoors and the birds and beauty of natural Wisconsin and wish to connect with others who share the same passion.
While the BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin seeks to promote outdoor birding activities and outdoor experiences for people of color, anyone who shares and supports our values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access for all are welcome to join this group. We are family-friendly, and people of all ages are invited and encouraged to join us.

Experience and knowledge are not required. What is important is having a desire and willingness to see and learn about Wisconsin's birds, animals, and plants and explore its beauty with others who share the same passion and curiosity in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.

Another reason why you should go to Madison Public Library!!!’

There's an excessive heat warning in effect today until 8pm, and the heat index will hit the 100s in the next couple of days. All Madison Public Libraries have air conditioning and free WiFi, so if you need a place to beat the (excessive) heat, remember that our nine library locations are safe and cool spaces to read, browse, work, or just chill - in more ways than one! 🛠️ Labor Day is more than a long weekend—it’s a tribute to the hard work and dedication of workers across the nation. 🛠️

For those who were formerly incarcerated, the significance of Labor Day is even greater. It’s a reminder of the power of second chances and the dignity that comes with fair employment. Work provides a pathway to reintegration, helping individuals rebuild their lives, support their families, and contribute positively to their communities.

This Labor Day, let’s celebrate all workers and advocate for inclusive opportunities that recognize the potential in everyone. 💪

Our offices are closed today!

HOW TO CONTACT ME
Hello everyone. I was in the hospital and rehab for a bit— Feb through July. My phone service was turned off during that time (about 5-6 months). I am reachable via email or I may give you a WhatsApp number until I can either restore my past numbers for phone and cell or get new numbers.

I’m trying to get past numbers restored but the phone company has made no assurances that they will be. They just have me going through the process. My various email addresses still work or you can contact me via Facebook or LinkedIn. Sorry for making it hard and for forgetting that people would try me via phone. Thank you for your patience as I figure this out. Hopefully it will not take that long.
