Comprised of four bills, this housing package prioritizes and through the implementation of commonsense measures. It's time that we had a housing market that met the needs of our community!

Alderman Richards served our community faithfully for nearly two decades as a member of the Common Council. I am saddened to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family 🙏🏾💛

Our city mourns the loss of a dedicated public servant. We honor the legacy of former Alderman Don Richards, a leader who served the City of Milwaukee with profound integrity and a deep-seated compassion for community service. His tireless advocacy for his neighbors shaped the fabric of our city, and his impact will be felt for generations to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

📢❗Today, I submitted testimony in support of Senate Bill 782.

This is , legislation that strengthens Wisconsin's emergency response systems. I am grateful for the opportunity to work on it with Representative Bob Donovan and Senator Van Wanggaard, and look forward to the potential of having the Assembly version heard.

Together, we can stop the abuse and misuse of our systems.

Today, I reflect on the state of our nation. Five years ago, our capitol was stormed in a deadly attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. It marks a violent and horrifying day in the history of the United States.

My thoughts are with the survivors of the attack. My prayers are with the families of those who were lost. My gratitude is with the brave law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line to preserve our democracy.

This is a day of somber reflection. We cannot whitewash what happened.

As weather conditions and temperatures remain variable, please do not hesitate to utilize weather shelters. We are fortunate to have community centers, like our public libraries, doubling as these. A great reminder of the multifaceted benefits of investing in third spaces!
