Thursday Morning Club, Inc. The Thursday Morning Club's Madison Community House (MCH) is a recreational and service facility owned, operated, and maintained by the G.F.W.C.

Since its inception in 1896, the mission of the TMC has been to serve Madison & its surrounding communities, enhancing the well being of its citizens by undertaking progressive programs, while offering its members opportunities for personal enrichment. m Mary B. Cash, a club member, eighteen years after the Thursday Morning Club embarked on a mission of service and aid to the community. Sources of funding include: program and user fees; fundraising activities; donations from TMC Club members, local grants, designated United Way Funds, community groups and the Borough of Madison; and hundreds of volunteers donating time and talent. In the past, in response to the needs of the community, the TMC/MCH has initiated and been a home for many services. They include: the first district nurse, health clinic and “Baby Keep Well Station” prelude to the current Madison Health Department; the first supervised town playground – now Dodge Field; morning kindergarten – now part of the public school system; a thrift shop – now the Independent Thrift Shop; an employment agency and counseling service during the Depression; Friends of the Madison Public Library – now an independent organization; The Madison Shade Tree; and opened “Time Out”, a respite day care center for adults – now part of Family Service of Morris County. Currently House sponsored programs include a Nursery School for 3 & 4 year olds, Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) for Madison Elementary School children. Reading Enrichment Program, after school enrichment classes in cooking, arts and crafts, singing and dancing; the Charter for Cub Pack #124 and provides many scouting groups with meeting space. The House provides meeting rooms for numerous non-profit and civic organizations and housing for Dress for Success of Morris County. The TMC offers the gym, social rooms and two kitchens for meetings, luncheons, receptions, and other special events. The House is open daily, Monday through Sunday. The Thursday Morning Club and Madison Community House continue to serve Madison and surrounding community with this vital community center.

The Thursday Morning Club and Madison Community House continues to serve Madison and surrounding communities with this vital community center.
