Madison is unlike any other city in the state, and not by chance. Working together with law enforcement, quality builders, teachers, small business owners and homeowners, we have built something remarkable in Mississippi. I have been truly honored to serve the people of Madison as Mayor for over thirty years. Our community has always been built on three simple truths:
We believe that Madison must
be the best place in Mississippi to raise a family, and we were ranked as one of “Top 10 Best Towns for Families” by Family Circle Magazine. We know that a fine educational system is and always will be fundamental to our community’s success. Today, our schools well exceed national averages and are a model for the rest of the country. Madison has never and will never tolerate crime in our city. We have given law enforcement the tools they need to get the job done to protect us. As a result, Madison is one of the safest cities in Mississippi while still experiencing explosive population growth. Every day more people look to make Madison their home, and it is very important that the same standards for planned, controlled growth are met as we move forward. That is why I will be seeking re-election as Mayor--so I can continue to work every day of my life to ensure Madison’s future as an outstanding city in Mississippi. I have always appreciated your unwavering support over the years and today I again ask you for your vote of confidence on May 7.
