May Day for the Communists began with sign making! We also passed the time discussing the role the Bolshevik Party played in Russia and the relation of the party to the masses. The struggles against capitalist oppression and exploitation need a revolutionary leadership to succeed, and we are building that in Madison and across the world!

This is tonight! Have you read State and Revolution and are you itching to discuss it with other communists? Are you interested in diving into the text and looking for an introduction to Leninism? We will be introducing the text and will be drawing out the essential lessons—even if you haven’t read State and Revolution yet, you are welcome to attend. We want to hear your questions, connections to current and recent struggles, and thoughts about the role of the left in imperialist countries, so that we can have a rich discussion. Capitalism shows us no way forward other than continued murder and oppression by the so called forces of "peace". There is no class that can protect the working class besides the working class! We must learn from our struggles in Minneapolis and throughout history to march towards a socialist revolution here in the U.S.A and internationally!

Madison Communists brought revolutionary class politics to today’s demonstration! There was an atmosphere of simmering anger and our calls to smash ICE and smash capitalism were met with enthusiasm. There has never been a better time to get organized! Fight ICE with class war!

Tonight we had a thorough and engaging discussion following a screening of the incredibly inspiring visual manifesto of the RCI, “The Communists Are Coming.” Attendees new to the RCA had questions that reflected their seriousness—about building the party, our involvement in mass movements, the nature of opportunism, and more. It is clear that no other party or organization is putting the class divide at the front of their politics, and that a serious party based on the Marxist method is sorely needed in America and around the world. We are building that party. Get organized today to help us in our goal of bringing the correct perspectives and tactics to the workers’ movement, to unify the working class against our common enemy, the capitalist class!

Recent events have brought radical workers and youth onto the streets once again, in response to ICE terror, the criminal violation of Venezuelan sovereignty by the US, and the continuation of US imperialism in ever more blatant forms while the quality of life for working people continues to fall. But expressing anger in the streets is not enough. We must organize as a class so that we can shatter the vice grip of capitalism on our lives and begin to run society ourselves. But how do we do this? Why is it important to get organized, and what role does a party and its program play in this? How do we link up the struggle globally?
This documentary is a starting point for anyone looking to throw themselves into the fight to end capitalism, but it doesn’t end there. Come to our screening on January 20 to learn about what it takes to build the Revolutionary Communist International, how to get involved, and to meet your future comrades in Madison.
