neglect rates. Here are three examples:
● Each additional month of childcare subsidy for low-income
mothers correlates with a 16% decrease in neglect reports and
a 14% decrease in physical abuse reports.
● Generous SNAP policies lead to fewer CPS reports.
● A 5% increase in families receiving SNAP benefits is linked to an
8% to 14% reduction in CPS and foster care caseloads.
