I am proud to have helped secure $40 million in funding for the City of Racine to replace every single lead service line at no cost to residents. Like many households, my drinking water runs through lead pipes, and with my first daughter on the way, I know how urgent replacing these pipes is.

An estimated 10,000 lead pipes are set to be replaced over five years. Not only will this project help ensure clean drinking water, but it will also create good jobs. This is a major win for our community!

The EquiFlow Lead-Free Racine Program is replacing an estimated 10,000 lead pipe service lines over the next five years, a $130 million investment in public

I was honored to join the Memorial Day ceremonies in Mt. Pleasant and Racine to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our rights and freedoms.

And I always enjoy seeing friendly faces like Shawn Rivers, Racine County’s Veterans Officer, and our local electeds at our annual Memorial Day events.

This is great news, as it will result in one of the largest lead pipe removals in Wisconsin!

A special thanks is owed to Mayor Cory Mason and the City of Racine, Wisconsin Government for their work securing this investment.

Racine officials say a new $130 million effort to remove all lead service lines in the city will come at no cost to homeowners,

Congratulations to iDental on reaching the milestone of 10 years serving the Mount Pleasant area! They have done an incredible job filling the gap for folks who need access to quality dental care.

iDental celebrated its 10th anniversary, having grown into what the state's dental director calls the region's essential safety net for oral health care.

Assembly Democrats show up to work every day focused on doing right by the communities we represent. That meant each of us had to make a difficult decision this week.

While the proposed surplus plan would have provided some additional resources for districts, I do not believe that passing it was the right thing to do. It could have put our state in a very difficult financial position in only a few short years, with the potential for cuts to education, healthcare, and other essential services.

As we face economic uncertainty and chaos from the Trump administration, we have to be fiscally responsible. We must also remain committed to long term solutions for our schools and communities, like ending the cycle of referendums and funding special education at an adequate level.

Families in Wisconsin work hard to make ends meet. They stick to their budgets, and they expect the same from their legislators.

The spending proposal in front of the legislature could put the state in a very difficult financial position in future years. The Trump administration is already causing chaos that is causing prices to go up, and we don’t know what he’ll do next.

With working families already struggling to make ends meet, we cannot afford to overspend now and be forced to make cuts to essential services like schools and healthcare in the future.

We could lower costs for Wisconsin families now without setting us up to struggle in the future, but this proposal doesn’t do that.
