Sign on to support Speaker Pelosi's action PAC against Ted Cruz's blatant admission of VOTER SUPPRESSION, to ensure that democrats never win again, like we did in Georgia last November.
The most infuriating thing about this is that - if the ran on a platform that American Voters could support - the wouldn't HAVE to support VOTER SUPPRESSION, or any other method of cheating. Therefore, we have to do whatever it takes to stop the republicans from their systemic and pathological cheating. Bottom line is: Let the most competent political party - that has the best interest of the United States, as a whole, win their elections. Today's doesn't even know what their platform is, other than that they're opposed to paying their fair share of taxes - which is a necessity to fund public-interests and infrastructure - and opposed to measures that the greater majority of Americans support: Healthcare for all is a RIGHT, not a privilege reserved for the wealthy; Excellent public education that's taxpayer-funded, all the way from K through 2 or 4-year college. All of society benefits from an educated population and makes us competitive on a global scale; Publicly-funded, limited money in politics. As long as unlimited money is funneled into campaigns and candidates, their will always be a conflict of interest between what's best for Americans - as a whole - and the Special Interest Groups that 'buy' the politician's loyalty. Public Services - 911, Infrastructure, Clean Air & Water - Oversight & Modernization; Functioning Governmental Agencies - DNR, EPA, FDA, Agriculture. You get the idea.
If you aren't informed, get informed (that means staying away from non-news outlets that say they're 'news' but categorized as 'entertainment' by FCC because they're propaganda, which is not synonymous with news; e.g.: Fox, OAN - One America News, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh (I know, he's deceased, but syndicated radio can play reruns.), and there are several more, along with popular social media outlets.
You may feel that my posts fall into the same category, and you're free to believe that. Believe what you want, the difference is - I hope your beliefs are supported by facts from more that one or more sources fact-checking THEIR sources. Make informed decisions. Don't believe because you're told that believing anything different will cause the end times, or similar. The decay in our democracy is real. It's death of democracy by self-imposed 'thousand cuts'. We can reverse this trend, but it takes collective hard work. It's always easier to 'go with' what you think is the flow. We still can have a positive influence on other struggling democracies, but our influence is waning - just like the health of our planet. It is easier to stop thisT while there's still democratic policies in this Republic. If we lose it, all bets are off. People living under authoritarian rule will say, "Why didn't the United States stop it while it was still legal to peacefully protest - in many forms - in favor of democracy. Know that Donald Trump is an authoritarian who continued to 'test the waters' to see how far he could go before meeting resistance. For example, multiple times he suggested that he would use Executive Action to extend how many years he would stay in power. I honestly don't understand why this, and many other statements and actions didn't raise an alarm in so many people. That fact should concern everyone who DID recognize his attempts, supported only by continuous gaslighting.
I hope everyone who read this will reflect upon it. What Ted Cruz is doing is not different than what Trump, and other manipulators do/have done. There are a lot of people who get drunk on power: Cruz and Trump are but two examples, but it's sadly, easy to recognize that we have many like that currently in positions of power that don't have the average American, or their family, in his/her best interest. We can't do much but listen/watch what they do in and out of the halls of Congress - White House - SCOTUS, and vote them out ASAP. Why Texans think Rafael 'Ted' Cruz is the best there is, or that he's what they deserve, boggles my mind. Texas, unfortunately, isn't the only state that is seemingly overrun by pathological elected officials.
