Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Dane County Cities and Villages Association annual meeting, and this week I attended the Dane County Towns Association annual meeting. Partnerships with fellow local elected leaders are critical when it comes to serving the community, and it is always fascinating to hear the challenges and success stories from our neighbors across the county!

The Dane County Park Commission will hold a hybrid public hearing on Wednesday, June 10 at 5:30 p.m. to review proposed 2027 park fees. Community members may attend in person or virtually via Zoom.

Each year, the Park Commission reviews and updates the fee structure for services in county parks to help offset operational and maintenance costs.

Today I kicked off EMS week at Dane County Emergency Management for the unveiling of the brand new ambulance for Dane County EMS! Rescue 31 is a new backup ambulance that will be a resource to our municipal EMS service providers to ensure continuity of care when one of their own ambulances is out of service for maintenance or repairs. Having a spare ambulance allows agencies to continue staffing a crew and not have to rely on coverage from other communities.

May 17th-23rd is EMS Week, and the theme this year is “Improving Outcomes, Together”. Hats off to our dedicated local EMS providers who work hard year round to be ready to answer any call. Thank you for all that you do to keep our communities healthy and safe! 🚑❤️‍🩹
