Recycle More Wisconsin, a program of the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin, aims to bring together communities across Wisconsin to prevent valuable recyclables from going to waste in our landfills. To achieve this goal we are providing education on the benefits of recycling and the opportunities to recycle at home, work, school, and all public places.

The City of Madison and Dane County will hold their annual home compost bin and rain barrel sale on Saturday May 4th from 9am to 1pm (Or while supplies last) at the Alliant Energy Center, for this sale use the Olin Ave entrance and sale is in the Olin Ave Parking lot. This one day only sale will feature the Earth Machine Home Composter. The Earth Machine will be on sale for $45 tax included, also on sale will be the Systern rain barrel for $55, compost turners for $15 and Kitchen pails for $7.
This sale is open to anyone and you can purchase as many bins or barrels while supplies last. The bins sale will be held rain or shine and bins are sold on a first come first served basis. The sites will accept cash or checks, Visa and Master Card.

The Earth Machine comes with a complete instruction booklet on how to compost. Additional material will also be available at the sale.

Use the Rimrock Road and Olin Street Entrances:
Electronic materials collected at the event will include Personal computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, calculators, cell phones, keyboards, & mice, all brands of televisions sets (all sizes), computer monitors, CRT Monitors, Flat Panel Monitors, microwaves, radios, stereos, telephones, DVD and CD players and VVCRs.
All electronic materials will be responsibly handled in an environmentally, safe and secure manner, using the best data wiping software available. This event is for residents only -
NO businesses.
Dane County has developed a system to help move vehicles through the lines quicker and more effectively. Last year's event had wait times of less than 5 minutes.
