The University of Wisconsin-Madison is looking for le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) young people in the child welfare system to participate in a research study. You may qualify if you:
✔ are aged 17-21,
✔ live in WI,
✔ living in foster care or some other child welfare placement
(like supervised independent living),
✔ identify as
LGBTQ+, and
✔ think you will be in foster care until at least their 18th birthday
As a study participant, you will be asked to complete 1-2 hour interview and short survey. Your involvement in this study will remain confidential. Nothing will identify you personally - or anything you talk about. That means that no one outside of the university research team will know you are in this study - or what we talk about - unless you tell them. Your participation is voluntary – you don’t have to be in this study if you don’t want to. Participants will receive $35 in cash and be entered into a drawing to win a set of wireless Beats headphones.
