Dear Riders,

We, the members of North Madison Station #5, have voted to postpone this year's Ride 4 Fire. We are saddened to have to do this but circumstances beyond our control have given us no choice but to cancel this year's event. We are sorry and saddened to do it but are planning to come back next year better than ever.

It’s almost back to school time and you know what that means! Adorable pictures of your kiddos, holding their first day of school boards!

Posting your child’s pictures online for the first day of school is a trend that helps mark the milestones of the first day of school, but police warn that sharing too much information could have consequences.

Police warn parents that when posts that have your child’s name, school, interest, and teacher are posted online, it could make them a target to predators, scammers, and other people looking to endanger your child, family, or finances.

No matter your privacy settings or friends list, its best to keep personal information on the internet to the bare minimum.

Don't share:
❌ School name
❌ Age
❌ Teacher's name and grade
❌ Identifying features (height, weight, etc.)
❌ Overly personal information (think items related to passwords or security question answers, etc.)

We want to congratulate and brag about one of our own. Probationary Firefighter Paige Madison Campbell on her success with over a decade with the Jefferson County 4H but this year she's the Jefferson County 4H Fair Princess.

Paige has grown up in our fire station and is now fighting fires alongside her mother Beth Campbell Firefighter/Paramedic. We are so proud of Paige and how much she has grown. We can't wait to see what your bright future ahead holds.
