VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS SATURDAY
The Madison Greenspace Conservation Commission is seeking volunteers on Saturday, June 13, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to help remove invasive Nandina and Chinese Privet from the Presidents Park greenspace.

We'll be working along the creek and trail corridor to improve wildlife habitat, support native vegetation, and enhance one of Madison's important community greenspaces. Meet at the parking lot behind the County Courthouse (195 E. Jefferson Street) at 9:00 AM, or join us directly at the work area shown on the attached map. Some tools and gloves will be available.

Can't make it this Saturday? Additional volunteer opportunities will be held on June 20 and June 27.

Questions? Please contact Ben Proulx at 706-343-8087.

Please share with friends, neighbors, and anyone interested in helping improve Madison's greenspaces.

Sometimes creating a convenience causes some inconvenience. With materials being delivered for and work commencing on the restrooms in Andrews Park, it has become unsafe to have the park open for recreation. For the time being, Andrews Park will be closed for construction.
