A neighbor requested a tour of the well, so the City of Madison is offering our neighborhood a Pop Up Well Tour! Friday, June 12, 1:00 PM. See first-hand where the water in your neighborhood comes from. Learn about Madison’s water quality, distribution, conservation and more!
This tour has a minimum requirement of 5 people to happen and a maximum capacity of 15. Please RSVP by June 8 to [email protected].

So much of what we do in government is big and abstract: a $billion budget, a $31.5million budget fix. But occasionally something is small and visible. I advocated on behalf of the residents of the Burke Heights Neighborhood Association to have this speed limit sign added as you exit the Thompson roundabouts toward 30, to prevent folks (myself especially) from taking off like a bat outta hell toward the highway on a still-residential block. Thank you all for your support and voice during a fierce election cycle. Thank you also to the Dane County Highway Department for getting it installed so quickly! I will always see this sign as a daily reminder of the things, large and small, we can do together.

Our Burke Heights grant proposal has been recommended for approval. It'll go to the Common Council for a final decision at the end of the month. Feeling hopeful neighbors! 🦋🌼🚲🌳

Burke Heights is going to a Mallards game! Save the date for now, there will be a couple of ticket options when the portal opens. One ticket option includes a pre-game opportunity, with unlimited food and drink, the other ticket option is for the game only. 🦆⚾️

Dane County District 12 Supervisor, Tommy Rylander, advocated on behalf of BHNA to install a speed limit sign on Commercial Ave. between the roundabout and the on-ramp to Hwy. 30. We should expect to see a new speed reduction sign installed sometime next week. Hopefully this will improve speeding issues on that little stretch & make it easier to exit our neighborhood on that side. Thank you Tommy.
