Chrysalis Pops is a Madison grown social enterprise that offers an opportunity for community members living with mental health challenges to gain meaningful paid work experience. We work with community partners from seed to sales; growing and harvesting the produce, transforming it into delicious frozen fruit pops in the kitchen, and then selling them at farmer’s markets and special events throughout our community.
Since the blossoming of Chrysalis Pops in 2016, the program has continued to expand and flourish. Now in our 4th season, we will support 18 participants to not only gain hands-on work skills and experience throughout the season, but also help people gain a sense of purpose, connection, confidence, and empowerment. Chrysalis Pops also aims to use their social platform as a means to increase mental health awareness and decrease stigma.
We look forward to the 2019 Chrysalis Pops season, and invite you to join us in our journey to promote mental wellness!
Find our product year-round at the W***y St. Co-ops (North, East and West) and Olbrich Gardens. We can also be found at the Dane County Farmer’s Market, the East Side Farmer’s Market, and special events throughout the season.
