🇺🇸 Today, we remember.

This afternoon at The Carriages of Rivergate, we gathered together for a time of remembrance through song, reflection, and fellowship as we honored the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we remember those who never came home, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.

It was a simple afternoon, but a meaningful one. ❤️🤍💙

Dee and Carl came through with another serious comfort-food lineup today! 🙌

Tender smothered pork chops covered in rich gravy, creamy mashed potatoes, seasoned cabbage and a warm piece of cornbread to bring it all together. 🤤

This is the kind of meal that feels like home, and exactly the kind of love Dee and Carl keep putting on the plate for our residents. ❤️

Carl and Dee were back at it today, and this one was an absolute masterpiece! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

Homemade Chicken Parmesan smothered in marinara and melted cheese, served over perfectly seasoned noodles with a fresh side salad. 🤌🍝

There’s just something special about a meal made with a little extra love, and these two continue to knock it out of the park for our residents.

Dee and Carl were back at it again today, and this one was straight-up comfort food! 👏🔥

Salisbury steak smothered in gravy, cheesy potatoes, tender cabbage and cornbread made for one heck of a plate. 🤤

And because apparently they weren’t done showing off yet… homemade chocolate chip cookies turned into fresh ice cream sandwiches for dessert. 🍪🍨

That’s how you finish a meal!

Loaded potatoes piled high with cheesy goodness, fresh broccoli slaw on the side, and of course a little entertainment from our dancing and six-string-playing potatoes. 🥔💃🎸😂

But the real chef’s kiss at the end of the meal? Homemade peach cobbler. 🍑🤌 Absolutely the perfect way to finish it off!

Another great meal from Dee and Carl and another reminder that there’s a whole lot of heart coming out of our kitchen at The Carriages of Rivergate! 💙

Casey had our residents putting their heads together today with this 300-piece Grumpy Cat puzzle, and that face pretty much says it all. 😾🧩

The puzzle is appropriately titled “How to Live With an Idiot,” which definitely made this one even more entertaining. 😂 A little teamwork, some brain power, plenty of laughs, and good time spent together.

Grumpy Cat may not be impressed…but we sure are! ❤️
