At the 2026 Wisconsin Victims’ Rights Conference, Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul emphasized the importance of ensuring justice for crime victims throughout the criminal justice process.

“Justice isn’t served until it’s served for crime victims. Making sure that we have stood up for those who are directly harmed by criminal activity is a critical part of what our system can and really needs to do to get justice in these cases.”

Thank you to Trempealeau County District Attorney John Sacia, Sheriff Erica Koxlien, and New Horizons for coming together to raise awareness on Marsy’s Law and making sure Trempealeau County sees, honors, and remembers victims through the Silhouettes Project.

“It's not just art; it's people, stories, and lives that matter. Each silhouette stands for someone who deserves to be seen, remembered and respected,” said the creator of crime victim’s silhouettes for Marsy’s Law.

During National Crime Victims' Rights Week, Marsy’s Law displayed 8 life-size silhouettes at the Wisconsin capitol, each highlighting a key right guaranteed to victims under Marsy’s Law. These silhouettes serve as a reminder of victims whose voices deserve to be heard in the justice system.

We thank for creating the silhouettes and making this powerful display possible.
