Our Consumer Clothing workshop on June 8th was a fantastic opportunity for 4-H members interested in the consumer clothing and sewing projects to learn more about the materials used in clothing, now and in the past! KoKo at Scarlet Begonia led an exciting lesson on how fabric selection affects the overall look, use and texture of our clothing. Participants were challenged to dress a mannequin using elements of only 100% cotton and they succeeded with outfits perfect for any summer occasion! We wandered down to the Fabric Shop where Ellen showed us some incredible textiles and shared her vast knowledge! We even squeezed in a great lunch at the new Buster’s Fountain and Cafe! What a lovely afternoon 🌺🧵🪡👗🥤
We are considering planning the next workshop for January/February 2027 so stay tuned for updates!
