New equipment for FEED Kitchens! Thanks to a grant from the City of Madison we have been able to secure a few new pieces of equipment. Today our new tilt skillet arrived, replacing the 30-year old workhorse that has been here since we opened in 2013.

No immigrants, no food!

Fully half of the food being produced at FEED Kitchens would not be available to our region if not for immigrant run food businesses. We think that would make Madison a much less interesting place to be.

We appreciated bering invited by REAP Food Group to meet with Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriquez to talk about local food system needs and give her a preview of the upcoming Dane County Food Plan.
The Madison region should feel good that food system agencies are working collaboratively and developing strong and relationships to move the needle on building a sustainable and resilient local food system.

We are happy to report that despite widespread damage across the Northside of Madison (and elsewhere) there was very little damage to food trucks and trailers here at FEED Kitchens. A few dents, but nothing broken. Operartors here, who are just kicking off their season, are letting out a big sigh of relief.
