🎙️ One Voice One Vision: Episode 2 is now available

How did the vision for a unified pharmacy organization in Wisconsin become a reality?

Episode 2 of PSW’s One Voice One Vision podcast series explores the milestones that helped turn a bold idea into the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin.

Featuring Tom Thielke, John Bohlman, and Andy Peterson, PSW’s first president, this episode looks back on the work of the OVOV steering committee, the statewide conversations that engaged members across Wisconsin, and the 1997 member vote that overwhelmingly supported unification.

It is a meaningful look at the leadership, collaboration, and shared commitment that helped launch PSW in 1998 and strengthen pharmacy’s professional voice in Wisconsin.

💚Member Monday 💚
PSW CEO Sarah Sorum visited Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy in Wauwatosa and connected with PSW member and pharmacy manager Sarah Schmidt. The visit was a powerful reminder of the impact specialty pharmacy has for patients navigating complex, life-changing diagnoses where timing, adherence, and support matter.

What stood out most was the team. Highly engaged pharmacy technicians, (including one with pharmacy shrimp🦐 ), experienced pharmacists building ongoing relationships with patients, and a care model grounded in precision, consistency, and compassion.

Thank you to Sarah and the full Walgreens Specialty team for delivering care that is both highly professional and deeply personal.

PSW's Practice Advancement Leadership Team (PALT) wrapped up another strong year during its Quarter 4 meeting at Froedtert Main Campus!

HSPAL residents heard from ASHP surveyors Mark Woods and Steve Stoner on medication-use safety and pharmacy practice excellence. Participants also toured areas across the Froedtert Main Campus to see innovative pharmacy services in action.

Thank you to the PALT co-chairs, sub-chairs, RPC lead, participating residents, program directors, and coordinators who made this year such a meaningful experience for Wisconsin pharmacy leaders of the future.
