Today we marked a solemn moment in our nation's history: 25 years since the September 11th attacks. At our annual ceremony at Toyota Field, we honored the memory of those we lost with the Police Officer's Prayer and the Firefighter's Prayer, the presentation of the colors by our Honor Guard, and the ringing of the bell.

Following the ceremony, community members climbed the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs, the height of the World Trade Center towers, to honor the first responders killed in the attacks.

We remember all those taken from us that day, and we vow to never forget.

Tomorrow, we will mark 25 years since the 9/11 attacks. We invite you all to Toyota Field for a ceremony and stair climb honoring and remembering the victims.

Please join us on September 11th for a special ceremony marking the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. This event will be held at Toyota Field. Gates open at 8:00am and the ceremony begins at 8:30am. There will also be a Stair Climb at the conclusion of the ceremony, approx. 9:00am. Both events are free to attend or participate. See less

Big News!

The City of Madison and Madison City Schools are partnering to build a premier aquatic center in Dublin Park.

Mayor Bartlett and Superintendent Terrell made the announcement today at Dublin!

Here's what you need to know:

✔ The aquatic center will be located where soccer field #5 currently sits
✔ Don't worry, soccer fans - the park to be named later is adding 3 soccer fields to the City
✔ A listening session with the Madison swimming community will be scheduled soon to get input from stakeholders across the city
✔ Construction will take around two years
