Next week, MMSD seniors from the Class of 2026 will cross the stage, marking the end of their high school journeys and the beginning of their next chapter. 💫

All graduation ceremonies are free, open to the public, and livestreamed on the MMSD YouTube channel (MMSDtv) — no tickets needed!

Memorial students and staff are invited to our first ever FREE movie night Wednesday, June 3 at 7 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket to watch the ultimate summer movie, The Sandlot.

A little extra “hall monitoring” last week 🦆💙

After spending the spring growing up in the courtyard, a mother duck and her 10 ducklings were ready to “waddle” on to their next chapter at the pond across the street. An almost yearly tradition at our school, our maintenance team is experienced in helping all 11 ducks make it safely across the street. 🐥✨

🌟💚Congrats to Memorial alum Julian Walters! He was the keynote speaker at the Class of 2023's graduation ceremony, sharing with grads:

“Dare to dream beyond imagination and let these dreams guide your journey, embrace failure and be resilient to the obstacles that you will undoubtedly face, and create a future where purpose, passion, and meaning intertwine."

Julian Walters plans to open Park Lofts in Madison this fall. A quarter of its units are reserved for young adults aging out of foster care.

Thanks to the Vel Phillips Memorial High School Spartan Youth Service Day we had a lot of help in our bookroom, in the classrooms, gym, art class and overall around the school! It was great to see Stephens' grads helping out!

Our sophomore Spartans got a firsthand look at their future careers last week at our hands-on Career Fair! 💼✨

With more than 50 companies in the field house, students had the chance to network, explore different career paths and learn about opportunities waiting for them after high school.

Thank you to all of our incredible community partners who helped make this experience possible for our students! 👏
